Visitor acceptance: we check this for your date

We have not yet confirmed this club's position on bookings made for overseas visitors. We check it with the club for your date as part of the booking — if we cannot secure it, our fee is refunded in full.

Central Fukuoka Golf Club opened on 29 April 1975 in the hills above Chikushino, south-east of Fukuoka city. It is operated by Accordia Golf, one of Japan's large course groups, and the club credits the design to the partnership of von Hagge and Devlin. The eighteen holes measure 6,490 yards against a par of 72, on hilly ground, with two bentgrass greens on each hole.

This is a self-play course. Rounds are played from five-seat riding carts with navigation, and there are no caddie plans. Driving onto the fairway is possible for an extra fee, though not on every hole and not when the weather or the turf rules it out. The clubhouse was renovated and reopened in December 2023, and there is a bath (tubs only; the sauna is closed) and a restaurant open from 9:00 to 16:00. The practice area is small — five bays to a thirty-yard net, though you may use a driver — plus a practice bunker.

Rental clubs and shoes are available; the club lists ¥4,400 for clubs and ¥1,650 for shoes. The dress code is the usual one for Japan: golf clothing rather than T-shirts or jeans, soft spikes or spikeless shoes.

For Tuesday 10 November 2026 we found a weekday self-play plan with a lunch subsidy at ¥7,490 per player. On weekdays the club adds a surcharge when only two people play — ¥2,200 each on that plan, so ¥9,690 per player for a two-player group. Green fees in Japan move by date, day of the week and plan. The figures here are examples we checked in October 2026, not a quote — we confirm the final rate for your date with you before the tee time is booked.

Getting there

About 15 km from Chikushino IC on the Kyushu Expressway, in the hills east of Chikushino. By rail, take the Nishitetsu line to Chikushi (about 15 minutes by taxi from there) or Asakura-kaido (about 20 minutes). The club lists no courtesy bus.

Nearest station: Chikushi (Nishitetsu line) — about 15 min by taxi. We include precise written directions (English and Japanese) with every confirmed booking. If you prefer a private car, we can introduce a partner hire-car provider; please confirm golf-bag space and book transport directly with the provider.

Visitor FAQ

Can overseas visitors play Central Fukuoka?+

The club takes public bookings, and reservations are handled in Japanese, which is the part we do. We have not yet arranged a round here, so we check acceptance and any conditions with the club for your specific date as part of the booking; if we cannot secure it, our fee is refunded in full.

Can two of us play, or do we need a four?+

Two can play, but on the weekday plans we checked the club adds a surcharge for a two-player group — ¥2,200 per player on the November 2026 plan we looked at. Groups of three or four pay the standard rate.

Is there a caddie?+

No. The plans we found are all self-play from a riding cart with navigation. Fairway access for the cart is an optional extra, subject to the weather and the condition of the course.

How do I get there from Fukuoka?+

By car it is about 15 km from Chikushino IC on the Kyushu Expressway. By rail, the nearest stops are Chikushi and Asakura-kaido on the Nishitetsu line, each about 15 to 20 minutes from the club by taxi. We do not arrange transport, but we will tell you what the options are.
