Higashi Abiko Country Club is in Aoyama, Abiko, Chiba, and is one of the easier courses on this site to reach by train: the club says Ueno to Tennodai on the JR Joban Line takes about forty minutes, and its bus covers the last five.
The course is eighteen holes in two nines, OUT and IN, each a par 36. From the blue tees OUT measures 3,290 yards and IN 3,208, for 6,498 in all; there are four further sets of tees. Play is in riding carts.
The practice range stands out: the club lists eighty bays and 250 yards, so you can hit a proper bucket before you go out. The clubhouse has large baths, a restaurant and a shop.
We telephoned the club in October 2026, and it told us it accepts overseas visitors and bookings made on their behalf. It has rental sets, including left-handed men's sets; women's sets are right-handed only. We have not yet confirmed the rental price.
When we checked online in October 2026, a weekday round with lunch on 4 November 2026 was ¥9,235 on one plan and ¥10,115 on another. Some weekdays carry a lower rate for Chiba residents only. Green fees move by date, day of the week and plan. The figures here are examples we checked in October 2026, not a quote — we confirm the final rate for your date with you before the tee time is booked.
Getting there
Take the JR Joban Line to Tennodai — about 40 minutes from Ueno, by the club's own account — then the club bus from the north exit, in front of Chiba Bank, which takes about five minutes. Morning buses run roughly every half hour from 7:05 to 9:40 (plus a 6:30 bus on weekends and holidays), with the earliest and latest not running in some months. A taxi from Tennodai is about five minutes. By car it is about 30 minutes from Kashiwa IC on the Joban Expressway.
Nearest station: Tennodai (JR Joban Line) — about 5 min by club bus. We include precise written directions (English and Japanese) with every confirmed booking. If you prefer a private car, we can introduce a partner hire-car provider; please confirm golf-bag space and book transport directly with the provider.
