If you want to walk the same fairways as Tiger Woods and Hideki Matsuyama, this is where you come. Narashino Country Club hosts the ZOZO Championship — the PGA Tour's only official event in Japan — and its two 18-hole layouts (King and Queen) are kept to a standard that satisfies the world's best players week in, week out.
What surprises most international visitors is how accessible a tournament venue can be. The club sits in the quiet countryside of Chiba, roughly an hour from central Tokyo, and welcomes visitor play on weekdays through advance arrangements. Expect classic Japanese parkland golf: tree-lined corridors, subtle elevation changes, and lightning-quick greens. After the round, soak in the clubhouse bath and enjoy a proper sit-down lunch — the full Japanese golf ritual, at a course with genuine PGA Tour pedigree.
Getting there
About 60 minutes from central Tokyo by train, then 10 minutes by club shuttle bus.
Nearest station: Chiba Newtown Chuo Station (Hokuso Line). We include precise, bilingual directions with every confirmed booking — and can arrange a private car with golf-bag space if you'd rather skip the trains entirely.
Visitor FAQ
Can tourists play Narashino Country Club without a membership?+
Yes — visitor tee times are available on many weekdays, but they must be arranged in advance and the club operates primarily in Japanese. Send us your dates and we will handle the reservation for you in English.
How do I get to Narashino Country Club from Tokyo?+
Take the Hokuso Line to Chiba Newtown Chuo Station (about 60 minutes from central Tokyo), then the club shuttle bus for 10 minutes. We can also arrange a private car from your hotel.
Are caddies available?+
Caddies can be requested in advance and we recommend one here — the greens are among the fastest in the region and local knowledge saves strokes.
