English Golf Booking Services in Japan: Fees and Solo Options Compared
A fee per player is not the same as a fee per reservation. Here's how to compare the help you need, the actual charging unit, and the conditions for booking alone.
Updated October 2026
The short answer
English booking services differ in price units, support and solo-player conditions. Golf Caddie Japan charges ¥6,000 per player per round including tax; other services use per-booking fees or individual quotes. Direct booking and Rakuten GORA may suit golfers who can handle the course's language and booking requirements. No option guarantees every course or every solo request.
Disclosure: Golf Caddie Japan publishes this guide and is one of the services compared. This is not an independent ranking, a cheapest-provider claim, or a review based on test bookings. We checked the linked official pages on 4 October 2026. Prices and booking conditions can change; obtain a written quote before paying.
Compare the booking service, not just the headline price
Decide first whether you need someone to make a reservation, help find a suitable course, arrange a playing partner, or provide a wider travel service. Those are different products. The table covers tee-time booking options; extras are not assumed to be included.
The figures below are service fees, not green fees or the total cost of a round. We retain each provider’s published currency and charging unit. Except where explicitly stated, we could not verify whether the listed service fee includes tax. We have not converted currencies or calculated a cheapest-provider ranking.

Price qualifications that matter
- Elite Golf Japan: the concierge page and legal notice list the group-size fees in the table. Its general FAQ instead says US$30 per person with a US$60 minimum. Those descriptions differ for some party sizes. Ask which applies before paying; we have not resolved the discrepancy ourselves. Official pricing, legal notice and FAQ.
- GolfMatchy: its fact sheet for AI systems lists US$39 per golfer, a US$200-per-golfer no-show charge, a minimum of 2 golfers on weekdays and 4 on weekends, and a 3-day minimum lead time. Its FAQ describes the fee only as a flat per-golfer amount, and we could not verify whether tax is included. Joining a host’s round is a separate offer. Official fact sheet and FAQ.
- Nomae Golf: Quick Booking assumes a particular course request. Course Finder and Trip Plan cover different scopes; do not treat those prices as interchangeable per-player fees. Official plans.
- Golf in Japan: request the actual fee and matching conditions. Its Golf Partner service is described for the Kanto and Mt. Fuji areas, not as a nationwide guarantee. Official FAQ.
Which route fits your situation?
You know the club and can handle its booking requirements: ask the course directly, or check a portal plan. You take responsibility for understanding the terms and dealing with changes. A portal listing is not proof that a single overseas visitor can use every plan.
You want an English point of contact: compare the five services’ written offers for the same dates, party size and equipment needs. Ask what is included after confirmation, not only what happens before payment.
You are travelling alone: read our single-player booking guide first. “Solo enquiry accepted,” “matched with another golfer” and “private solo tee time” mean different things. Rakuten GORA’s single-entry terms require the golfer to apply personally and prohibit proxy applications; they are not a route for an agent to bypass the course’s rules.
You need hotels, transfers or a complete tour: ask for the appropriate travel-service scope and provider. Do not infer that a tee-time booking fee includes transport. Golf Caddie Japan provides reservation assistance only; transport support is an introduction to a partner hire-car provider, not a transport service operated by GCJ.
What Golf Caddie Japan does — and does not promise
We check the course’s acceptance conditions, communicate about the reservation in Japanese, and explain the proposed booking in English. Rental requests and the written day guide help you prepare for check-in. Our service fee is ¥6,000 per player per round, including tax; green fees are paid directly to the golf course. Rentals and any small-group supplements are additional if applicable.
For four players taking one round, that service fee is ¥24,000, not ¥6,000 for the whole group. This is an arithmetic example of our fee, not a quotation for a course or a claim that we are cheaper than another service.
Availability, visitor acceptance and pairing remain course-specific. We cannot guarantee every requested club or date. Acceptance of a four-player group does not establish that the same club accepts singles.
If this is the help you need, send Golf Caddie Japan your dates and group size. Review the written price and cancellation conditions before proceeding, and wait for the final booking confirmation. See our booking terms.
Questions to ask before choosing
- Is the fee per person, per tee time, per round or per itinerary, and does it include tax?
- What will I pay directly to the club, including rental equipment and small-group supplements?
- For one player, will I join others? What is the minimum group size and confirmation deadline?
- What happens if the request fails, I cancel, my party shrinks, or the course closes?
- Is English support available only for booking, or also during the round?
- Who provides any transport or travel services, and under which separate terms?
Official sources and review method
Checked 4 October 2026. We compared publicly available official descriptions, not customer reviews or AI-generated answers. “Not verified” means the checked material did not establish the detail; it does not mean the provider lacks that service. Direct booking is a method rather than one company, so no universal fee or language claim is made.

Quick answers
Which services offer golf booking help in English in Japan?+
Golf Caddie Japan, GolfMatchy, Elite Golf Japan, Nomae Golf and Golf in Japan describe English-language booking assistance. Compare the support included, course acceptance and the written price for your own dates. English booking support does not guarantee English-speaking staff at the course.
Are these fees the total price of playing golf?+
No. The comparison is of reservation-service charges. Green fees, equipment, small-group supplements and other course charges must be checked separately. Per-player and per-reservation prices should not be compared as if they used the same unit.
Can a single player use a booking service in Japan?+
Several services accept solo enquiries, but acceptance and pairing depend on the course and date. Ask whether the booking is private solo play or a place in a shared group, when it becomes confirmed, and what happens if the minimum number is not reached.
Is this an independent ranking?+
No. This comparison is published by Golf Caddie Japan, one of the services listed. It is a source-based comparison rather than a ranking, and unavailable or conflicting information is identified rather than guessed.
